Expecting increasing clouds this afternoon as the next storm system approaches the state. Showers will develop tonight across the western third of the state, then expand into north central sections on Wednesday. Albuquerque will have a shot at shower or two, while the higher peaks of the northern high terrain will pick up some snow. Winds will rip across central and southern New Mexico on the bottom side of the storm system.
Temperatures will be cooler Wednesday and Thursday as the flow becomes more northwesterly. Drier air will also start to start to work in Wednesday night and Thursday. A ridge of high pressure builds in for the weekend, allowing temperatures to quickly rebound.
