It will be a warm end to the week with temperatures running well above average for this time of the year. A cold front will edge into far northeastern New Mexico Friday afternoon and sweep across the east Saturday, leading to cooler temperatures. A few spot showers will be possible across the east slopes of the Northern Mountains and northeast.
A storm system will scrape along the New Mexico and Colorado state line Saturday night into Sunday. This will allow for a few showers across the northern high terrain. Most of the state will remain dry with windy conditions, especially Sunday morning. This will mean elevated fire danger for the late weekend and early next week.
