Showers will increase through the night across New Mexico. A back door cold front is moving into the east, providing moisture and cooler air to the state. Meanwhile, a storm system will cross New Mexico Tuesday, providing the lift to touch off numerous rain and snow showers. Thanks to the cold front, snow levels will drop to around 7000′. Across the south a few thunderstorms will be possible.
The storm lifts out on Wednesday leaving just a few lingering snow showers across the northern high terrain. The rest of the state will see more sunshine with warming temperatures. The warm up will continue through the rest of the workweek. A weak weather disturbance will work through the state Easter weekend spreading a few more clouds across the state, but little in the way of showers.
