Dept. of Game & Fish install artificial and natural habitat structures
The New Mexico Department of Game & Fish is installing habitat structures in some lakes to improve fishing. Made of logs, branches, and pallets, wildlife officials say the goal of the project is to create more spawning areas and improve fishing overall. They will be installed at places like Carlsbad Municipal Lake and Lower Tansill Lake. A complete map of locations is available on the department's website.
