Fire weather concerns today

NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – Critical fire weather will occur this afternoon across New Mexico. Winds will be elevated before and after the cold front. The breeze should quickly dissipate by Monday afternoon. Precipitation will be light in Eastern New Mexico before sunrise tomorrow. Any mixed precipitation will be above 7,000′.

High pressure grows over the state giving us near normal temperatures for the rest of the forecast. Rain and snow will be absent.
