The Big 12 hopes to make a decision on expansion by the time of it’s regularly scheduled board of directors meeting in October.
Meanwhile, Bob Davie and his Lobos are getting ready for their first game of the season. When asked about the story on Big 12 possible expansion Davie said he was too busy thinking about his first two opponents to really address conference expansion.
“If we are going to talk big 12 then I am going to, right now, annoint the South Dakota Coyotes and New Mexico State Aggies in the Big 12 because my total focus is on those first two games,” he said.
