JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP)Caleb Homesley tied his season high with 25 points as Liberty topped Jacksonville 71-62 on Thursday night.

Scottie James had 14 points for Liberty (22-3, 8-2 Atlantic Sun Conference). Darius McGhee added 13 points and eight rebounds.

Kevin Norman had 16 points for the Dolphins (11-14, 4-6). DeAnthony McCallum and Destin Barnes added 13 points apiece.

David Bell, the Dolphins’ second leading scorer entering the matchup at 11 points per game, shot only 17 percent in the game (1 of 6).

The Flames improve to 2-0 against the Dolphins for the season. Liberty defeated Jacksonville 54-37 on Jan. 11. Liberty matches up against North Alabama on the road on Saturday. Jacksonville plays NJIT on the road on Saturday.
