UNM Women’s Cross Country makes it 11 straight Mountain West Titles

Joe Franklin and his UNM Women’s Cross Country team has done it again. The third-ranked Lobos edged Boise State at the Mountain West Championships to win their 11th straight title Friday morning in San Diego, California. 

The defending NCAA Champions were led by sophomore Weini Kelati. She won the individual 6k race. Kelati was followed by teammate and last year’s individual champ Ednah Kurgat.

Lobo senior Charlotte Prouse was next, giving the Lobos the top three spots. It’s the third consecutive year the Lobos have won the individual and team titles.
