Tevaka Tuioti has the keys to the Lobos offense once again. The opening day starting quarterback was named starter for the Lobos third game of the season Wednesday. Lobos head coach Bob Davie wavered on who his starter would be after Tuioti returned from concussion protocol.
Sheriron Jones played quarterback in Tuioti’s absence and played well enough to impress coaches after getting a full week of reps during the Lobos open week. Tuioti threw for 327 yards and 4 touchdowns in his first start. Tuioti threw for 55 yards and a touchdown at Wisconsin before suffering a concussion in the first quarter. The Lobos and Liberty Flames will meet at Dreamstyle Stadium Saturday at 4 p.m..
