Rio Grande Ravens fall short in attempt to win first game since 2014

Local Sports

Thursday night football started with a thriller that nearly put the Rio Grande Ravens in the win column. The Ravens haven’t experienced victory since the 2014 season. That year they won one game against the Highland Hornets, the same team the Ravens met on Thursday night.

The Ravens converted a 12 yard touchdown in the fourth quarter with under 10 minutes to play to go up 12-3, but they were not able to hold as they would lose the game to Highland 16-12. In the other game of the night, the Cibola Cougars outlasted the Sandia Matadors 27-21.
