Lobo Women’s Soccer made it to their 2nd consecutive Mountain West Tournament Title game on Saturday night, but once again UNM would fall short of a championship victory as they lost to San Jose State at San Jose State 1-0.

UNM came out sharp in this game with the Spartans, they controlled the tempo and had multiple shots on goal, with one going off of the post in the 1st half. Their intensity on offense would be shaken up though later in the 1st half, as SJSU would score, after keeper Emily Johnson got a little too aggressive on a ball at the top of the box, and it would amount to the only goal of the match.

UNM finishes their season at 1362 overall and 7-2-2 in Mountain West Conference play. There is still a chance that they could make the NCAA Tournament, and stick with KRQE Sports for an update on that.
