Lobo women’s basketball picked to finish 5th in the Mountain West

The Mountain West has forecast a middle of the pack finish for Mike Bradbury and his Lobo women’s basketball team. The Lobos were picked to finish fifth in the conference preseason poll released Thursday. Boise State is picked to win the conference after receiving 19 first place votes.

UNLV is picked to finish second with four first place votes. Fresno State and Wyoming were picked third and fourth. Colorado State follows New Mexico with Nevada, Utah State, San Diego State and Air Force next. San Jose State was picked to finish last.

The Lobos had one player receiving preseason recognition. Senior center Jaisa Nunn was selected to the All Conference Team. The Lobos beat Lubbock Christian 62-55 in an exhibition game Tuesday night. The Lobos wrap up the exhibition portion of their schedule Sunday when they host Eastern New Mexico at 2 p.m. at Dreamstyle Arena.
