“We know what this place can be and I think certainly a pandemic has a lot to do with a lot of this right now, but we want to play in front of a full pit. We saw it early, but you got to win and that’s the bottom line. So, we will, we will get there. We just got to stay positive and keep working, but they have been working, they have been good,” said Richard Pitino.
UNM is now 7-10 overall and 0-4 in conference play this season. UNM Guard KJ Jenkins understands the road ahead will be tough, but he believes in this team and hopes they finish strong. “Like I said, trust the process, be willing to play for each other, and we just have to show up and be relentless every day. It’s tough, we are shot but we are just going to have to keep pushing,” said Jenkins.
UNM will play at Colorado State next Wednesday at 8 p.m., that game will be shown on CBS Sports Network.
