Lobo men’s basketball loses season finale on the road to Wyoming 88-81

Lobo Men’s basketball finishes their 2019 regular season with a loss on the road, as they fell 88-81 to Wyoming on Saturday. UNM finishes with an overall record of 13-17 and a Mountain West Record of 7-11. UNM earns a 7 seed in the upcoming Mountain West Tournament and they will play 10 seed Wyoming to open up tournament play, yes the Cowboys again, that game will be Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in Las Vegas Nevada.

Wyoming finished with 5 scorers in the double figures, and while UNM finished with 4 scorers in the double figures it wouldn’t be enough. Senior Anthony Mathis hit 2 three-pointers on Saturday night, marking his 102nd 3-pointer of the season. That number ties him for the most made 3-pointers in a single season in Lobo history.
