Lobo Football drops a lead late on Saturday losing to SDSU 31-23

UNM Football drops to 1-4 in conference play and 3-6 overall on the season after a 31-23 loss to San Diego State on Saturday. UNM looked like they could win this game at points in the night, as they led 10-7 at the half and 23-14 in the 4th qtr, but SDSU would score 10 unanswered points in the last 7:29 of the 4th qtr to win.

SDSU racked up 401 total offensive yards, which trumped the Lobos tally of 142. Coltin Gerhart finished 9-20 in completions, with 41 yards passing and 2 TD’s, but he would also be sacked 6 times and throw a late interception with the Lobos down 24-23.

UNM will now head to Air Force next playing the Falcons on Saturday at 1:30 pm. that game will be shown on CBS Sports Network,
