Lenny Fresquez is marking his 25-year anniversary in the fight game with a pair of fights and viewing party.
The businessman and manager of UFC fighter Holly Holm recently announced plans of another joint MMA card with Jackson and Wink Academy, May 10 at Isleta Resort and Casino. Fresquez also has a boxing card scheduled for Isleta June 8.
Boxing is where Holm got her start in the combat game, and Fresquez was a part of it.
“My pro debut for boxing was right here in this very casino on a Fresquez Productions card, and that was when I was 20 and I am 37,” said Holm. “So, talk about a very good relationship. I will be forever grateful and come watch the fights because there are a lot of good people coming out of here. Thank you, Lenny.”
Holm won the WBF world light welterweight Title and world welterweight belt as a boxer and believes it would not have been possible without Fresquez around.
“It’s like I can’t even sit here and talk too much in detail, because I do get emotional because he has been so good to me and my whole career,” said Holm. “It wasn’t just his faith in me, but his money, his time, and everything. I am indebted to him for my life and to be able to live the life of a dream.”
Fresquez will also host a viewing party for Holm at Isleta Resort and Casino when Holm takes on Amanda Nunes for the bantamweight title at UFC 239.
