The Isotopes lost their third straight game with the New Orleans Baby Cakes on Monday. New Orleans racked up 14 hits in the 7-2 victory on Monday and will now look for the series sweep on Tuesday.
Some good news came out of Monday night’s loss though, as Jordan Patterson hit a historic solo homerun to right field. Patterson’s homerun marks number 20 on the season, but also number 60 in his career as an Isotope. The 26-year-old is now tied with Jason Wood as the Isotopes’ all-time career home run leader.
Patterson reached 60 home runs in 344 games as an Isotope. It took Wood 597 games with the Isotopes to reach this milestone.
The Isotopes and Baby Cakes will be back in action on Tuesday at 12:05 pm.
