JJ Caldwell headed to New Mexico to become a Lobo

Texas A&M point guard JJ Caldwell announced on his Twitter page Friday that he has transferred to New Mexico.

Caldwell, a four-star recruit coming out of high school in Houston, Texas, was dismissed from the Texas A&M basketball team for an unspecified violation of school policy.

Caldwell averaged about 16 minutes per game in his one year of play with A&M. He scored 2.9 points and had 2.5 assists.

Coming out of high school Caldwell was a member of the ESPN Top 100 in the 2016 class, coming in at number 89.
