Jalin Burrell has one more college game to go.
The University of New Mexico senior corner back will play in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl January 19.
The game will be held at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. The game is known as one to prepare draft-eligible college football players for the NFL.
Burrell is excited for the opportunity.
“I’m truly blessed to be able to receive an opportunity like this to prove that I have the ability to play at the next level,” said Burrell. “Coach Eliano was really the main factor in my development as a player, young African American man and human being outside of football. It’s an opportunity I hope to take advantage of and pray there’s more to follow after.”
Burrell had 52 tackles, an interception and six pass breakups in his final season at New Mexico.
