Former UFC Bantamweight Champion Holly Holm will refrain from competition for the rest of 2018. Holm had knee surgery last Friday on a damaged meniscus.
She is expected to need about four weeks to heal. Holm promoter Lenny Fresquez told KRQE Sports that Holm will be ready at the end of the year, but will just wait until 2019 to fight. Fresquez said Holm wants to fight current bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes when she returns.
Holm who has a an overall record of 12-4. She is 5-4 in the UFC. Holm was victorious in her last outing when she defeated Megan Anderson back in June.
