High School Soccer Championship Friday

It's Championship Friday for High School soccer.

Top seed Cleveland played against the 6 seed Mayfield Trojans. The game went into three overtimes. Cleveland captured their first state title with a 1-0 victory. 

In the Girls 5A Final, 2 Sandia vs. 8 seed La Cueva would go to four overtimes before penalty kicks. La Cueva won 2-1. 

Albuquerque Academy boys soccer took on 5 seed Los Alamos. The Chargers took out the Los Alamos Hilltoppers, winning the state title 3-0. 

In the 4A Girls Final, Hope Christian (#2) played top-seed Academy. Academy won the title 4-1. 

In the 3A Boys State Championship, top-seeded Sandia Prep jumped out to an early 2-0 lead and they would remain relentless in their attack as they go on to take out Robertson 3-0, for the state title. 

The Sandia Prep girls also played well against St. Michaels in the title game, giving Prep the 3A Girls State Championship, winning the game 1-0.
