4 years removed from her Lobo playing days, Chantale Riddle was at Saturday’s exhibition game against Fort Lewis. Riddle, who is now 27 years old is gearing up for her 4th professional season in Switzerland. She reports for preseason on September 1, but before she heads out she always likes to visit her old stomping grounds.
“I like to come back and beat them up every once in a while and play against them. It sucks that there wasn’t an alumni game this year, where you could actually play them, but I really enjoy being around the Lobo girls and see them grow and be better athletes,” said Chantale Riddle.
Riddle will play for a new team this year in the Swiss Volleyball League, but Riddle hopes to have a change in her career soon. She spoke about hopefully changing leagues next season. “I would like to play in Germany or Italy, or maybe China, or Brazil, like, just a different experience. I think that I am ready for a change in my career,” said Riddle.
Chantale said just like any job, this one has its ups and downs, but she is living her dream and is just happy to be playing professional volleyball. “I am so blessed an lucky to be where I am now and I keep improving and getting better and being the best athlete that I can be, and then hopefully coaching one day and then being the best coach I can be,” said Riddle.
