Trevor Rogers went on social media to give family and friends a heads up. After a long wait he was finally making his professional baseball debut.
The former Carlsbad star and 2017 first round draft pick of the Florida Marlins pitched three innings for the Greensboro Grasshoppers Tuesday night.
The good part of his stat line is that Rogers struck out five batters. What he might not have cared for is that he gave up three runs on four hits against the Kannapolis Intimidators. Greensboro lost 4-3. Rogers is now 0-1 in his young career.
