Armstrong chooses Arizona over Lobos, Bragg added to roster

Local Sports

Terry Armstrong chose Arizona over New Mexico and Oklahoma Wednesday. The four-star basketball recruit revealed his choice on Twitter.

In other Lobo news, six-foot-ten forward Carleton Bragg was added to the roster Wednesday.

Bragg completed requirements that head coach Paul Weir laid out for Bragg to join the team. One of those conditions was to lose weight. Bragg hit the right number Monday. Even though he has been added to the roster, Bragg is still waiting to hear about a waiver submitted to the NCAA concerning his eligibility.

The Lobos are hoping to hear something before the season starts.

The Lobos’ first game is on the road at Cal State Northridge November 6. Maybe senior guard Dane Kuiper will be available by then, Kuiper suffered a shoulder injury in the Cherry and Silver game October 19. Kuiper said he didn’t think the injury was significant. An MRI backed up his claim this week.
