For the first time since her dominating win against Megan Anderson at UFC 225 earlier this month, former UFC bantamweight champion Holly Holm spoke with local media in Albuquerque, Wednesday night.

Holm showed polished skills on her ground game in the victory over Anderson. “I know that the skills were there just took a while, the right time to show it in a fight,” said Holm. “I wish I would have done it a little sooner, but there is a reason for everything and we will just keep plugging away.

KRQE Sports caught up with Holm while she was attending a private screening of the second ‘Sicario’ movie. Holm also discussed her future.

She says she remains open to staying in the bantamweight division where she won her first title or fighting in the featherweight division where she would more than likely be paired with champion Cris Cyborg again.

“I think 135 would be good to go,” said Holm. “I want to go back and fight for that belt, but I’m really open to whatever opportunities come. You know I just kind of want to follow the guidance of Mr. Winkeljohn and Lenny and see kind of where we go from there.”

Prior to her fight against Anderson, Holm went the distance and a close hard fought battle against Cyborg.
