The New Mexico Lobos men’s basketball team has added size with 6-foot-9 forward Karim Ezzeddine. The Juco transfer from Northwest Florida State College signed a letter of intent with the Lobos on Friday. Ezzeddine averaged over 7 points and nearly 4 rebounds per game while leading his team to a NJCAC Elite 8 finish and 31-3 record.
The native Paris, France shot just over 48 percent from the floor and over 35 percent from the three point line. He also tied for the team lead in blocks.
Ezzeddine gave a statement about his signing to UNM Sports Information. “I chose UNM because I had a great feeling with Coach Weir and Coach Mason,” Ezzeddine said. “I feel really comfortable with Coach Weir’s philosophy, playing up-tempo and playing mostly four out and one in. My goal is to win and I think with the squad we have, we will be a real problem in the Mountain West.”
The Lobos also got a commitment from South Plains point guard Keth McGee Friday. McGee used his twitter page to announce his commitment to the Lobos. McGee averaged over 7 points per game and nearly three assists last season. He also shot 44 percent from three point range.
