Lobo baseball start final season series with a loss

The first game of the season series finale served as a reminder of a tough year. The Lobos lost the first of a three game series to U.C. Davis Friday night 13-8. The Lobos made an effort to change their fortune with a furious charge.

Down 10-1 in the fifth inning, the Lobos would cut the deficit in half. The would score three more runs in the 8th. That would be as close as they would get as the Lobos now drop to 18-33-1 on the season. Game two of the final series has a 2 p.m. start time at Santa Ana Star Field Saturday.
