Former Lobo football coach on the move

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Former University of New Mexico football coach Mike Locksley has joined the football staff at Alabama.

Locksley who most recently served as interim head coach at Maryland, is known for his ability to recruit players.

Locksley became the Lobos 29th head coach in 2009. He was fired in September of 2011 after posting a 2-26 at New Mexico.

He later took the offensive coordinator job at Maryland and was elevated to interim head coach with the departure of Randy Edsall.

Al.com reports that Locksley will be an offensive analyst for the Crimson Tide.
