ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Susana Martinez, the now-former District Attorney, and who later became governor, put Katie Sepich’s killer behind bars.

As governor, Martinez enacted an expansion of Katie’s Law which now requires all felony arrestees in New Mexico have their DNA collected. Their DNA file is now put into the state database.
