One man was killed and eight other people were injured following a 6.4 magnitude earthquake that struck Puerto Rico early Tuesday, January 7, 2020. On Monday, a 5.8 magnitude earthquake struck, causing power outages and small landslides.

The quake also caused the collapse of a popular tourist spot called Punta Ventana, a rock formation located on the coast of Guayanilla.
