(KRQE) – The executives of the country’s largest veterans charity, the Wounded Warrior Project have been fired.

Officials say the Wounded Warrior Project board has fired the Chief Executive Officer and the Chief Operating officer.

A CBS News investigation raised questions about the charity’s spending.

In a report CBS says Wounded Warrior Project’s CEO, Steven Nardizzi, and COO, Al Giordano, were fired after criticisms about how it spent its more than $800 million in donations in the past four years.Read the full CBS report hereยป
