World’s biggest bounce house opens in Albuquerque

The world’s biggest bounce house will be open for business in Albuquerque Friday.

It is the first time the massive attraction will be in New Mexico at the Balloon Fiesta Park.

There’s no doubt Big Bounce America’s 10,000 square foot inflatable will put Albuquerque on the map.

The bounce house is large enough to fit 200 people at a time.

At its highest point, the bounce house stands at 32 feet tall.

It takes crews eight hours to set up. Officials say it only takes about 15 minutes to actually inflate it, thanks to 27 blowers.

This year, it’s going to be even bigger, with the addition of the Bounce Village.

There will be four different sessions a day broken up into age groups: two toddler sessions, junior kids and a session for adults.

“Everybody remembers getting into the bounce house as a little kid and it just seemed like this massive thing. It is just like that when you were a little kid and it felt like it was endless,” said Douglas John Dorrington of Big Bounce America.

Organizers say they chose Albuquerque because of the weather, the atmosphere and because we have a big enough field to accommodate it.

The first session on Friday is already sold out.
