The Albuquerque Police Department says an accused check thief treated herself to three nights at a luxury hotel.

Police were called to Hotel Andaluz on Sunday after managers claimed a woman couldn’t pay for her room.

They said Tiffany McEwen Pexton owed the hotel $628 and they called police when two credit cards declined.

Officers found the 29-year-old with several different ID cards with different names on them, and checks that didn’t belong to her.

She’s facing charges including forgery and fraud.
