A woman has been sentenced in relation to the kidnapping and death of an Albuquerque woman.

Shawna Cannon was sentenced to six years for kidnapping Tiffany Boyer, which later resulted in her murder.

Police say Cannon, along with Stephanie Stepp, William Paul Alexander and Joshua Taramasco, kidnapped and beat Boyer to death.

Boyer was killed at a home near San Mateo and Constitution, then her body was dumped in Socorro County.

Cannon has been sentenced to six years behind bars.

Judge Brett Lovelace gave Cannon two weeks before she has to serve her sentence.

In January, a jury found William Alexander guilty of first-degree murder.

Taramasco pleaded guilty to kidnapping and firearm enhancement in October.
