One of the suspects in the murder of a young woman in the wrong place at the wrong time will spend more than a decade behind bars.

Marisa Sepulveda pled no contest back in October for her involvement in the murder of 18-year-old Aliyah Garcia.

Police say Garcia was sitting in a car outside a home when a group opened fire.

Sepulveda had ordered the shooting to kill someone else.

Under the plea, the state agreed to cap her sentence at five years as long as she stayed out of trouble.

However, when she reported to the Metro Detention Center in January, security at the jail says she tried to smuggle drugs inside.

In court Tuesday, Judge Briana Zamora sentenced her to 12 years in prison, followed by four years of probation.
