CARLSBAD, N.M. (KRQE) – WIPP is partnering with schools in Carlsbad to educate students.
The Nuclear Waste Partnership and Carlsbad Municipal Schools created a pilot test to teach students about science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics, otherwise known as STEAM.
It’s all part of the after-school STEAM-Up program for students in kindergarten through fifth grade.
For a weekly fee, students participate in the program Monday through Thursday for two hours after school.
