Winning Coffee closes its doors after 24 years

A popular Albuquerque coffee shop is saying goodbye and its loyal customers are devastated.

Winning Coffee near the University of New Mexico campus in Nob Hill closed it’s doors Saturday after 24 years.

According to the Daily Lobo, the shop is short about $4,000 to $5,000 a month to stay afloat. Winning Coffee says a “new normal” may be to blame, pointing to the Albuquerque Rapid Transit Project that doesn’t allow left turns at Central and Harvard.

However, there’s some room for hope. Winning Coffee has closed twice before but was saved by investors. At this time there is no word on any coffee shop heroes stepping in.
