SANTA FE (KRQE) – New Mexico’s attorney general is getting backlash for his picks for March Madness.
As KRQE News 13 reported Wednesday, Hector Balderas has picked 15th seed New Mexico State University to upset No.2 Kansas.
The attorney general of Kansas, Derek Schmidt, is fighting back saying that’s a “baseless prediction” and there is no way the Aggies can beat the Jayhawks.
During a phone call, they decided on a friendly wager. Balderas agreed to shave his head if New Mexico State University falls to Kansas.
As you may know, Balderas is already bald. If the Aggies beat the Jayhawks, Schmidt will cut his hair.
Tip-off is at 10:15 a.m. Friday.
