More public lands are reopening as the fire danger subsides in some areas.
The San Juan National Forest and BLM lands in southern Colorado are set to reopen Thursday.
However, some of the areas surrounding the 416 and Burro Fires will remain closed.
Lake Nighthorse is also reopening Friday, but all other City of Durango open spaces remain closed.
Meanwhile, near Albuquerque, the Cibola National Forest is still off-limits under further notice.
