Arroyo Fire destroys three homes near Bloomfield

BLOOMFIELD, N.M. (KRQE) – State Forestry officials say a fire destroyed three homes near Bloomfield. The Arroyo Fire started Monday off Highway 64.

Officials say it also burned five other buildings, 30 vehicles, and seven acres. It appears the destroyed vehicles were mostly junk cars.

Crews say they have a handle on the fire. The cause remains under investigation.
