Wildfire continues to burn in Gila National Forest

RESERVE, N.M. (KRQE) – A wildfire 17 miles northeast of Reserve continues to burn Thursday, but there is good news.

The recent storm brought snow and rain there, helping calm down the Kerr Wildfire.

Weather slowed down the fire from spreading.

The fire sparked by lightning last Monday blazed across more than 2,600 acres.
