SANTA FE, N.M. (KRQE) – The 92nd annual burning of Zozobra will take place Friday September 2, 2016. As part of a continuation of the Decades Project, Zozobra 2016 will be reminiscent of a 1940s Zozobra.
Gates will open at 3:00 p.m. and live music starts at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are available for sale online and will be available for purchase on the day of the event. Lights will go out and the ceremonies will begin at 9:30 p.m. You can see a complete schedule of events here.
Parking is available in downtown Santa Fe parking lots from 4 p.m. to midnight for $5. Shuttle services will also be available to take visitors to the event site.
How to get there
There are several options available to those who may not want to drive to the event. Santa Fe Trails bus rides will be free after 5 p.m. Friday September 2, 2016. The New Mexico Rail Runner has a Zozobra schedule and shuttles that will take visitors from the South Capitol Station to Ft. Marcy Park.
