ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A plan to amend a century old water plan goes before the Water Utility Authority Wednesday.
According to the Albuquerque Journal, the conservation plan aims to reduce water consumption to 110 gallons per day by 2037. Albuquerque is already on track with the average person using 130 gallons in 2016 so far.
The Water Utility says the new plan is four prong, focusing on conservation, ground water management, water restoration and re-use.
Wednesday night’s meeting starts at 5:30 in the Vincent Griego Chambers downtown.
