Visitors get creative at local Mini Maker Fair

New Mexico is getting a little creative this weekend.

The 7th Annual Albuquerque Mini Maker Faire stopped by the International Balloon Museum Saturday.

It features project demonstrations, hands-on activities and a chance for visitors to learn new skills.

Organizers call it a mix between science and state fairs.

“What we want for people to do is for people to see that they can build a project too. It’s encouraging and inspiring for people to do it themselves,” says Craig Goldsmith, Mini Maker Faire organizer.

It is open until 6 p.m. Saturday and continues Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
