Aquarium enthusiasts dove head first into the BioPark this weekend. The aquarium hosted ‘Scuba Day’ Saturday, allowing visitors to learn more about the sport of scuba diving.
Experts could answer questions about classes, trips and even where to purchase equipment. Organizers say it was a great chance to show a different side of the aquarium.
“Being underwater, it’s a whole new world. Seventy-three percent of the world is covered in water and we are barely scratching the surface of it,” said Yasmany Fuentes with The Scuba Company.
One lucky guest was even selected to dive in the aquarium’s shark tank.
