ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A World War II veteran was honored Wednesday more than 70 years after serving our country.
Thomas Grasser was honored after his daughter, an employee at Kirtland Air Force Base, requested his military records. She found he was never officially recognized with the medals earned.
Wednesday he was presented with the Bronze Star and the Legion of Honour, the highest military decoration in France. Grasser joined the National Guard after he served.
