US Army to fund $34M project at White Sands Missile Range


ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The U.S. Army will be moving up plans to fund a $34 million project at White Sands Missile Range.

New Mexico Senators Tom Udall and Martin Heinrich announced a new state of the art information systems facility will be built, starting in 2019 instead of 2023.

It will provide, among other things, transmitting of vast amounts of data during military testing.

New Mexico has struggled to get the Pentagon to fund new projects at White Sands Missile Range over the last 18 years.
