UNM student athletes earn cumulative 3.25 GPA


ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The University of New Mexico Athletic Department was proud to announce that its student athletes pulled a cumulative 3.25 GPA in the fall, which they say is better than the average non-athlete at UNM.

Male athletes had a 3.0. Female athletes ranked much higher at 3.57.

Athletes in sports like cross-country, skiing, tennis, soccer and golf scored the highest GPAs on average.

The football team had the lowest by far, pulling a 2.53.
