ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The University of New Mexico’s College of Pharmacy is helping remind people to take their medication.

They’re offering a wireless medication monitor that provides real time alerts to people who forgot to take their medicine, all through their smartphones.

They are using a 3-D printer to develop the prototype and their goal is to make it virtually unnoticeable to their patients.

The college is working with a pharmaceutical distributor to develop the monitor, which will be undergo a clinical trial in the next few months.
