UNM celebrates ‘Homecoming 2018: Wolfstock – Peace, Love and Lobos’

Students at the University of New Mexico kicked off homecoming week by spending quality time with man’s best friend.

Monday, UNM hosted “Peace, Love, and Puppies” near Zimmerman Library.

The Southwest Canine Corps of Volunteers brought dogs to campus so students could enjoy some pet therapy.

They say it was a perfect way to deal with stress.

“Midterms are coming up so it kind of gives that break of walking to class and having that stress, and you see a dog and instantly you’re smiling and feeling good,” said Josiah Martinez, UNM Trailblazers.

The homecoming committee is also collecting pet food, supplies and toys for the Happy Tails Drive.

You can drop off donations at Hodgin Hall throughout the week.
